Podcast Questions
Before We Dive In…
What We Want You To Know
-
We aim to foster an atmosphere of unity, empathy, and respect. We are not here to call out or criticize specific people, churches, or organizations, but rather to share personal experiences and insights that can benefit others in the Body of Christ.
-
There are always two sides to every story. Our conversations will center on your experiences and feelings, rather than judgments or assumptions about the actions of others. By focusing on the impact, we seek to understand the personal journey without casting blame or diving into contentious details.
-
If you prefer to remain anonymous, your privacy will be fully respected. We value you safety and comfort and are committed to providing an environment where you feel free to share your story without fear of repercussion.
-
We refer to your last day of ministry as "Day 0" and the first day after ministry as "Day 1." This language helps create a shared understanding of the transition process, allowing us to explore the unique experiences and challenges faced by those navigating life after ministry.
-
Our conversations will recognize the complexities of leaving ministry, but also underscore the potential for hope, healing, and growth. While we will not shy away from discussing difficulties, the overarching theme of our podcast is one of support, direction, empathy, and encouragement.
Life After Ministry
Thanks for your interest in being a guest on the Life After Ministry Podcast with Matt and Marilee Davis. Filling out this intake will give us the best chance to have a great conversation.
For our long distance podcasts, we use a web platform called Riverside.fm. It is like a Zoom call with better audio and video quality. Once we have settled on a recording day and time, we will send you an invite into our virtual studio.
We have found it is helpful to have the following for our conversation:
Reliable internet connection
Quiet location to record
Google Chrome web browser
External mic and headphones
